NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE
CITY OF KAYSVILLE
The CITY OF KAYSVILLE is proposing to increase its property tax revenue.
The CITY OF KAYSVILLE tax on a $711,000 residence would increase from $543.56 to $620.21, which is $76.65 per year.
The CITY OF KAYSVILLE tax on a $711,000 business would increase from $988.29 to $1,127.65, which is $139.36 per year.
If the proposed budget is approved, CITY OF KAYSVILLE would receive an additional $802,910 in property tax revenue per year as a result of the tax increase. If the proposed budget is approved, CITY OF KAYSVILLE would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 14.12% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth.
The CITY OF KAYSVILLE invites all concerned citizens to a public hearing for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the proposed tax increase and to explain the reasons for the proposed tax increase. You have the option to attend or participate in the public hearing in person or virtually.

Notice of Electronic or Telephone Participation
A member of the governing body may participate in meetings by telephone providing that at least three members of the City Council are present in person at the meeting, no more than two members of the governing body participate by telephone, and if the Mayor is participating by telephone, the governing body shall elect one of the members physically present to preside over the meeting as Mayor pro-tempore.
