Woods Cross City Public Hearing to Receive Comment on Proposed Tax Increase Woods Cross City is proposing to increase its property tax revenue and will hold a public hearing to take comments on 8/4/2025, 7:30 PM, at 1555 S 800 W - City Council Chambers, Woods Cross, UT 84087 Woods Cross City is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. Woods Cross City tax on a $543,000 residence would increase from $387.65 to $569.23, which is $181.58 per year. The Woods Cross City tax on a $543,000 business would increase from $704.81 to $1,034.96, which is $330.15 per year. If the proposed budget is approved, Woods Cross City would receive an additional $96,504 in property tax revenue per year as a result of the tax increase. If the proposed budget is approved, Woods Cross City would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 4.40% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue, excluding eligible new growth. Woods Cross City invites all concerned citizens to a public hearing for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the proposed tax increase and to explain the reasons for the proposed tax increase. You have the option to attend or participate in the public hearing in person or online. Citizens who would like to comment but are unable to attend the hearing may email comments to AP@WoodsCross.gov up until the time the hearing ends on 8/4/2026.
