Housed in the Department of Economic Development, the Business Advisory Board seeks to encourage economic development and target industry relocation within City boundaries. The board also helps direct City economic policy, promote small business growth, support local entrepreneurship, and assist the City in remaining responsive to the business community.

a. Review and Approval of June 10, 2026, BAB Minutes
BAB members will review June 10, 2026, meeting minutes and consider for approval.
3. Briefing by SLCPD 5 minutes
The Salt Lake City Police Department will provide an update to the Board.
4. Briefings by the Staff 5 minutes
a. Report from the Department of Economic Development.
Economic Development staff will provide updates on the work of the Department
of Economic Development to the Board.
5. Business Items
a. Community Clean Energy Program 20 minutes
Peter Nelson, Sustainability Program Manager, will provide an overview of the Community
Clean Energy Program to the Board.
b. School Attendance Program 15 minutes
Jennifer Newell, Senior Advisor, will engage the Board in a discussion about reducing
absenteeism in schools and a possible program to provide gift cards as an incentive for
attendance.
c. Business Advisory Board Civility Pledge 10 minutes
Board Chair Mordue and Board Vice-Chair Atencio will read the Board's Civility Pledge
aloud and provide copies to Board Members for signature.
