ABSENT:
PRAYER: Mayor Jared Campbell
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
MINUTES: The minutes were read, Doug motioned to accept the minutes as read, Troy seconded the motion. All were in favor.
MAYOR UPDATES: The Browns property is both inside and outside of the town. They are discussing with Kelly as well as the mayor what needs to be done in order for them to build on their lots. The road through there is not a road easement. It will be a subdivision, so they will work with Kelly to see what requirements need to be met, and then with the town to see what needs to be done. The Browns are asking for water meters. Kelly said that it's written in the water plan that the town can ask for shares of water in exchange for water meters. With the options for the land owners to lease those water shares back from the town to irrigate their fields around them. The mayor would like to talk with the irrigation companies to see if before they sell their shares, if the town could buy them to keep the water in our town with the option of leasing them out to people. He would also like to look into grants to drill another well for the town as a backup. He has been talking to UDOT about purchasing the land south of the cemetery. He feels it would be a good place for a well if there is water. Zac wondered if we could require a larger impact fee to put towards that well.
The Town needs to adopt a new code for the Wildfire safety map. They signed the map stating it looks good, but the PC will hold a public meeting before it can be adopted and passed.
WATER: Doug went to the R6 meeting and was told that we are not supposed to issue water meters until the customer has a building permit.
Cory Lott had brought in his plans, showing where he wants to have his house placed. It also needs to be surveyed. He needs to have his plans for his septic system and perk test as well as an engineered site plan and have Kelly sign off on it because it is near the well protection. Then the town will sign off on it.
Conner with Ensign Engineering came and gave an update on the well. He said they are just waiting on a couple meters and some fencing to finish up the project. The Town will be able to meter the output.
PLANNING COMMISSION: Frank Crowder bought the lot to the South side of the RV park. It is 1.6 acres. He would like to divide it into three parcels. Two half acre lots he would like to sell as building lots. The remaining .6 acre he would like to convert into commercial zone to incorporate it into the RV park. The subdivision ordinance says that because it is a small subdivision, he is not required to sell water meters with the lots. Frank also let the town know that he was approached by a company asking if he would be a dealer to sell their sheds. He would display them on his property. He does not need a seperate business license because he is operating it on the Flying U property.
MISCELLANEOUS: Sara would like a foam machine for the 4th of July celebration. She was going to send a link, but hasn't yet.
Troy Motioned to adjourn the meeting, Zac seconded the motion, all were in favor.
