The Salt Lake City Council, at its April 21, 2026, meeting, adopted an ordinance amending the zoning of the property at approximately 1073 South Navajo Street from R-1/5,000 (Single-Family Residential District) to RMF-30 (Low Density Multi-Family). The ordinance allows for the construction of additional for-sale homes on the 0.49 acre lot. The applicant intends to retain the existing single-family home. Consideration may be given to rezoning the property to another zoning district with similar characteristics. The project is within Council District 2. Petitioner: Mark Overdevest, the property owner. Petition No.: PLNPCM2025-01015.
