TOWN OF ALTAMONT
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Altamont Town Council will hold a public hearing during the regular town meeting on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
The meeting and hearing will take place at the Altamont Town Office Building, located at 15588 W 4000 N, Altamont, UT 84001
Agenda & Purpose
The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment, input, and testimony regarding proposed amendments to the municipal sewer utility rates. The Town Council will review, consider, and potentially take action on the following items:
- Sewer Rate Adjustment (Single-Family): Consideration of increasing the monthly sewer service fee for single-family households from $23.00 to $25.00.
- Rate Establishment (Multi-Family & Master-Metered Properties): Consideration and formal adoption of a designated rate structure, billing capacity rules, and pricing model for multi-family residential dwellings, master-metered properties, and mobile home parks (including duplexes, apartments, townhomes, and manufactured housing communities).
Public Participation and Comments
All interested residents, property owners, and affected parties are encouraged to attend and participate.
How to submit feedback:
- In-Person: Public comment will be formally accepted during the designated portion of the public hearing.
- In Writing: Written comments may be submitted to the Town Clerk via mail or in person at the Town Office. All written submissions must be received by 4:00 PM on July 8, 2026, to be entered into the meeting record.
