SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON Tuesday, July 14, 2026, a public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. by the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comment and consider adopting a resolution that would establish a waiver of proximity for Via Veneto Pizzarium at 511 East 900 South, pursuant to Utah Code 32B-1-202. As of May 2026, State code requires local municipalities to approve a waiver of proximity for liquor permits prior to the Utah Department of Alcohol Beverage Services (DABS) granting the license when the location is within specific proximity measurements of a community location. The City is required to hold a public hearing at least 30 days before a waiver can be approved. The restaurant is located across the street from Liberty Park within Council District 5. All persons interested and present will be given an opportunity to be heard on this matter. This meeting will be held via electronic means, while also providing an in-person opportunity to attend or participate in the hearing at the City Hall, located at 451 South State Street, Room 315, Salt Lake City, Utah.
