HERRIMAN FIRE SERVICE AREA NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE To obtain more information regarding the tax increase, citizens may contact the HERRIMAN FIRE SERVICE AREA at 801-758-7686 or visit https://www.herriman.gov/ Instructions for virtual participation in the public hearing will be available at https://www.herriman.gov/ no later than 24 hours before the public hearing is scheduled to begin. PUBLIC HEARING 8/12/2026 7:00 P.M. Herriman City Hall City Council Chambers 5355 W Herriman Main St Herriman Date/Time: Location: The HERRIMAN FIRE SERVICE AREA is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. The HERRIMAN FIRE SERVICE AREA tax on a $652,000 residence would increase from $478.37 to $489.13, which is $10.76 per year. The HERRIMAN FIRE SERVICE AREA tax on a $652,000 business would increase from $869.77 to $889.33, which is $19.56 per year. If the proposed budget is approved, HERRIMAN FIRE SERVICE AREA would receive an additional $205,560 in property tax revenue per year as a result of the tax increase. If the proposed budget is approved, HERRIMAN FIRE SERVICE AREA would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 2.23% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. The HERRIMAN FIRE SERVICE AREA invites all concerned citizens to a public hearing for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the proposed tax increase and to explain the reasons for the proposed tax increase. You have the option to attend or participate in the public hearing in person or virtually.
