The City of South Weber is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. The City of South Weber tax on a $596,000 residence would increase from $465.80 to $470.07, which is $4.27 per year. The City of South Weber tax on a $596,000 business would increase from $846.92 to $854.66, which is $7.74 per year. If the proposed budget is approved, City of South Weber would receive an additional $12,046 in property tax revenue per year as a result of the tax increase. If the proposed budget is approved, City of South Weber would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 0.91% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. The City of South Weber invites all concerned citizens to a public hearing for the purpose of hearing comments regarding the proposed tax increase and to explain the reasons for the proposed tax increase. You have the option to attend or participate in the public hearing in person or virtually. PUBLIC HEARING will be held on 8-11-2026 at 6:00 PM at City Hall 1600 E South Weber Dr, South Weber City To obtain more information regarding the tax increase, citizens may contact the City of South Weber at 801-479-3177 or visit https://southwebercity.gov/ You may email comments publiccomment@southwebercity.com. It is recommended that emails be sent by 4 pm on the day of the hearing but will be accepted until adjournment.
