Morgan City adopted the following Ordinances during the regular City Council Meeting
On June 23, 2026.
Ordinance 26-08
An ordinance amending title 1, chapter 1.15 of the Morgan City code by amending fees of the consolidated fee schedule for garbage service to include a new rate for business and alleyway dumpster; amending electric service charge fee; providing for replealer; providing for severability; and establishing an effective date of June 23, 2026
Ordinance 26-09
An ordinance amending the zoning designation of parcels of property containing a total of approximately 3.0 acres of land located at approximately 275 E 300 N, by changing the zoning designation thereof from the existing manufacturing and distribution (M-D) to general commercial (C-G); providing for the amendment to the zoning map; providing for repealer; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.
This ordinance shall become effective June 23, 2026
