PAYSON CITY NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION HASKELL ADDITION ANNEXATION Notice is hereby given by William R. Wright, Payson City Mayor, and the Payson City Council as follows: Petition On May 28, 2026, a petition for annexation was filed in the office of the Payson City Recorder by Grow Development c/o Jake Hone, for the purpose of requesting annexation of approximately 6.21 acres located at approximately 1200 E Salem Canal Road (Utah County) into Payson City. Receipt of Notice of Certification The petition was certified as required by Utah Code Section 10-2-405(2), and the Payson City Council received the Notice of Certification on June 24, 2026. Description of the Property to be Annexed The area proposed for annexation is located at approximately 1200 E Salem Canal Road (Utah County) as identified on the enclosed map and is more particularly described as follows: A PARCEL OF LAND SITUATE IN THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 15, TOWNSHIP 9 SOUTH, RANGE 2 EAST, SALT LAKE BASE & MERIDIAN, MORE PARTICULAR DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT A POINT LOCATED ON THE EXISTING CORPORATE LIMITS OF PAYSON CITY, SAID POINT IS THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE R.MANGELSON ANNEXATION PLAT, OF OFFICIAL RECORDS, SAID CORNER BEING 242.86 FEET S 00°46'30' E ALONG THE SECTION LINE AND 510.17 FEET EAST FROM THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID SECTION 15, AND RUNNING THENCE ALONG THE BOUNDARY OF SAID R.MANGELSON ANNEXATION PLAT N 00°28'19' E 2.04 FEET TO A POINT ON THE EXTENSION OF AN EXISTING FENCE, THENCE ALONG AN EXISTING FENCE AND ITS EXTENSION THE FOLLOWING NINE COURSES: 1) S 89°09'32' E 124.95 FEET, 2) S 89°45'34' E 102.03 FEET, 3) S 89°04'13' E 136.59 FEET, 4) S 89°15'44' E 297.43 FEET, 5) S 89°34'46' E 43.83 FEET, 6) S 00°52'55' W 58.39 FEET, 7) S 00°49'27' E 148.30 FEET, 8) S 00°15'15' W 54.08 FEET, 9) S 01°51'50' W 86.94 FEET TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF QUAIL MOUNTAIN ANNEXATION, OF OFFICIAL RECORDS, THENCE ALONG THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF PAYSON CITY THE FOLLOWING TWO COURSES: 1) ALONG THE BOUNDARY OF SAID QUAIL MOUNTAIN ANNEXATION N 89°13'42' W 705.08 FEET TO THE BOUNDARY OF THE ZEEMAN ADDITION ANNEXATION PLAT OF OFFICIAL RECORDS, 2) THENCE ALONG SAID BOUNDARY N 00°20'35' E 344.74 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. Inspection and Copy of Petition The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the City Recorder's Office, 439 W Utah Avenue, Payson, Utah, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays. City May Grant Petition and Annex Property Unless Protest Filed The Payson City Council may grant the petition and annex the above-described property unless a written protest to the annexation petition is filed with the Utah County Boundary Commission, and a copy of the protest is delivered to the Payson City Recorder no later than July 27, 2026, which is 30 days after the Payson City Council's receipt of the Notice of Certification. Where Protests May Be Filed Protests shall be filed with the Utah County Boundary Commission, 100 E Center St. #1100, Provo, UT 84606 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays. A copy of the protest must also be delivered to the Payson City Recorder's Office, 439 W Utah Avenue, Payson, Utah, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, except holidays. Who May File Protests A protest to the annexation petition may be filed by the legislative body or governing board of an affected entity, or 'an owner of rural real property' according to UCA 10-2-407.
