OGDEN CITY NOTICE OF FIRE RESTRICTION ORANGE - CRITICAL CONDITIONS In accordance with Ogden Municipal Code 11-6-3, notice is hereby given that due to forecasted hot and dry weather conditions and an observed decrease in fuel moisture levels - indicators of heightened re danger and the potential for rapidly spreading res an Orange Fire Restriction (Critical Conditions) shall be implemented effective immediately and until further notice, in the areas listed below: Areas with Restrictions: 1. All areas east of Harrison Boulevard from the south city boundary, north to 2nd street, west on 2nd street to Monroe and then north to the Ogden City boundary. 2. Dry, grassy, brushy, or wooded areas across the city. This includes: - The Ogden and Weber River Parkway, from the Ogden Canyon to the west and south edges of the city. - Parks near the rivers. - Fort Buenaventura, the city baseball park, and dog park off A Avenue. - The old land ll area at 2550 A Avenue near Fort Buenaventura. 3. Areas within 200 feet of rivers, trails, canyons, and similar spots. 4. Some nearby areas just outside these zones help create clear re-safe boundaries. What's Not Allowed: - Open flames (including wood-burning fire pits and outdoor fireplaces); - All fireworks; and - Any ignition source in an area that is not landscaped, not continuously attended, or not equipped with a means of extinguishment. What Is Allowed (With Care):The following ignition sources are permitted in areas that are landscaped, continuously attended, and equipped with a means of extinguishment: - Gas fire pits and grills with flame-control features. - Charcoal grills with lids using commercial charcoal; and - Smokers with lids and no ember exhaust powered by gas, electricity, or commercial pellets.
