Notes: Tamra Watson as prospective Board Member (Introduction) I'd like to introduce Tamara, a strategic communications and marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience. She has worked across agriculture, education, and the public sector, including previously with the Utah Public Charter School Association. Throughout her career, she has helped organizations grow their reach, build strong partnerships, and connect with the communities they serve. Her work has included everything from advocacy and media relations to marketing campaigns and membership growth, and she brings a real passion for helping organizations communicate their mission and make an impact. Notes: Carol Ann Gregory 20 Minutes Administration Review Status Situation and Update Update on 7-12 Application Process We Present the Proposal to the SCSB on Sept 10 (estimated time TBD) Introduction to Proposal Presentation Guidance Document.pdf AzureFields 7-12 grade Proposal Application for SCSB (1) - signed.pdf We need to plan our Introduction Potentially very straightforward b/c they have already been working with us for the past 2 years. The Board should plan to be present (at the USBE offices in SALT LAKE) for the proposal and should be familiar with the proposal document and ready to answer questions about it. If they approve our proposal then we have a Mandatory Boot Camp on Sept 11 from 8:30am-5pm at the SCSB offices in Sandy. Intent to Enroll Form: All of our Application links on our website take families to our Intent to Enroll Form. The form has been shared with Mountain Sunrise Academy administration with a request to send it to their families. We created a separate version for our k-8 feeder programs (Treeside and Wasatch) which clearly states that we are not in competition for their 7 & 8 grade students and students from these feeder schools are only eligible for articulation from 8-9th. This k-8 Feeder school form has been shared with Treeside and Wasatch with a request to send it by the end of September. The form has been sent to our families from last year who had interest, applied, or registered. High School Preview Nights I have a list of 13 junior high charter schools and am collecting their contact information. I have started contacting them to get information on a high school preview night that we can attend to talk to their families about our high school program. We will take devices for families to fill out the Intent to Enroll form at the event. I invited our tentatively hired faculty to join me at these events, but since we don't have specific dates, I don't have commitments from them yet. Community Events We still have a booth for the University Place event in October. We will have information fliers and devices with the Intent to Enroll form for people to fill out. Total funds are currently $164,262.30 We are getting about $50 a month in interest. There's about $285 in bank service charges a month. Marketing/Outreach/PCC Committee: N/A?
