Public Hearing:
7. The proposed interim budget includes consideration of a property tax rate that exceeds the certified tax
rate. The proposed tax rate is estimated to generate approximately $208,403.80 in additional ad
valorem property tax revenue, representing an approximate 170% increase in ad valorem tax revenue,
increasing the property tax rate from .001111 to .003. The additional revenue is proposed to be used for
the police department and general government.
This public hearing is not being held to receive public comment regarding the proposed certified tax rate
increase. Rather, the purpose of this public hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed Fiscal
Year 2027 Interim Budget.

12. Consider approval to set a date for a Truth in Taxation public hearing regarding the proposed property
tax increase will be held on August 5, 2026 at 6:00 pm at 320 East Newel Avenue, Hildale City, Utah
84784, at which time members of the public will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed tax
increase.
13. Consider approval of contract for the Prosecuting Attorney Tyler Bonzo at $1,500 per month.
14. Consider approval of the contract for the new Public Defender, Ryan Nielsen at $75 set up fee to open a
file and $100 indigent cases.
15. Conditional approval to award the Booster Station & Waterline Improvements to ACAD ( Advanced
Construction and Design), With the condition being Hildale City is able to receive additional funding from
the Utah Drinking Water Board.
