PRIMARY ELECTION INFORMATION
The 2026 Republican Primary Election for Garfield County is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
Contested Positions and Candidates
The following Republican positions are contested in the 2026 Primary Election:

Voter Eligibility
To participate in this primary election, voters must be of legal voting age, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the voting precinct in which they are registered. Voters can verify their registration status or view sample ballots online at vote.utah.gov
Ballot Deadlines
Ballots must be received by the Garfield County Clerk's Office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, June 23, 2026. Under Utah state law, postmarks no longer count; a ballot is only valid if it is in the possession of the election officer by the 8:00 p.m. deadline.
Accessible Voting
Individuals with disabilities who are unable to vote using a manual mail-in ballot may obtain information on accessible voting methods by contacting the Garfield County Clerk at (435) 676-1120.
IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES
-June 5: Logic and Accuracy Test at the Garfield County Courthouse.
-June 9 - June 22: Early voting period
(excluding Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth)
-June 23: Primary Election Day. Ballots must be received by 8:00 p.m.
-June 30: Post-Election Audit.
DROPBOX AND VOTING LOCATIONS
Voters may submit their ballots at any official Garfield County dropbox. Outdoor dropboxes are available 24/7 at the Garfield County Courthouse (Panguitch), Escalante City Office, and Tropic Town Office.
The Boulder Town Dropbox is available outside of posted hours and open to the public anytime that administrative staff and/or Town Council are in the Town Office.

-Cannonville Town Office: Mondays; 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

-Hatch Town Office: Tuesdays; 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
-Henrieville Town Office: Wednesdays; 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Early and Election Day In-Person Voting
In-person voting and ballot processing take place at the Garfield County Clerk's Office, located in Panguitch, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
