NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Fiscal Year 2027 Interim Budget Notice is hereby given that the Hildale City Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at 320 East Newel Avenue, Hildale City, Utah 84784, to receive public comment regarding the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Interim Budget. Council members may be participating electronically by video or telephone conference. Members of the public may watch the live stream through the scheduled Zoom meeting. The proposed interim budget includes consideration of a property tax rate that exceeds the certified tax rate. The proposed tax rate is estimated to generate approximately $208,403.80 in additional ad valorem property tax revenue, representing an approximate 170% increase in ad valorem tax revenue, increasing the property tax rate from .001111 to .003. The additional revenue is proposed to be used for the police department and general government. Following the public hearing, the City Council will consider adoption of the Fiscal Year 2027 Interim Budget. This public hearing is not being held to receive public comment regarding the proposed certified tax rate increase. Rather, the purpose of this public hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Interim Budget. A separate Truth in Taxation public hearing regarding the proposed property tax increase will be held on August 5, 2026 at 6:00 pm at 320 East Newel Avenue, Hildale City, Utah 84784, at which time members of the public will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed tax increase. Members of the public may attend and provide comment in person or virtually. Instructions for virtual participation and submission of written comments will be posted on the City's website at least 24 hours before the hearing. Published this 3rd day of June, 2026.
