Fire Apparatus Procurement: Discussion and possible approval for purchase of Ambulance
Fire Chief Will Hodgins presented a proposal to purchase a 2006 Ford Ambulance for $17,000 to increase the town's emergency response independence. The acquisition is a strategic response to a $2,300 'ready reserve' fee per call planned by Brigham City for 2027, with the vehicle expected to pay for itself within nine avoided calls. In addition to cost savings, the ambulance provides a private environment for patient care and supports the department's goal of becoming a certified transport unit.
Mayor Pro Tempore Jeppsen made motion that we approve the fire department to buy an ambulance, and not to exceed $20,000. Council Member Burgan made the second.

Council Member Ross motioned adjourn the working meeting. Council Member Burgan Mayor Pro Tempore Jeppsen made the second.
