Culinary Water Generator, Fire Department Improvements, & Police and Public Works Facilities Relocation
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Council of the Town of Mantua will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, beginning at 7:00 PM.
The hearing will be held at Mantua Town Hall, 409 N Main St, Mantua, UT 84324.
The purpose of the public hearing is to allow for public comment regarding the size, scope, and nature of proposed projects to be submitted for financial assistance to the Utah Permanent Community Impact Fund Board (CIB).
Project Description:
The proposed project consists of two primary components:
1. Culinary Water Generator: The purchase and installation of a backup generator for the town's culinary water infrastructure to ensure reliable water service, improve system capacity, and enhance fire flow safety.
2. Department Improvements, & Police and Public Works Facilities Relocation: Structural and operational improvements to the fire department, along with the relocation of the police facility and public works facility to the 18-acre parcel located below the current fire station.
Proposed Financing:
The applicant is proposing to apply for CIB funding. The CIB may provide financing in the form of a grant, a loan, or a combination of both.
Public Impact:
The proposed funding, if approved, may require the applicant to repay a portion of the assistance. Information regarding the potential financial impact to the public (such as user fee increases, special assessments, or property taxes) will be discussed at the hearing.
All interested citizens are invited to attend and provide comments. Written comments may also be submitted to the Town Recorder at 409 N Main St, Mantua, UT 84324 prior to the hearing date.
