2. Approve 180-990 Calendar Report
Each year, the Board of Education reviews and approves the district's 180/990 Report, which outlines the number of instructional days and instructional minutes planned for the
upcoming school year. This report ensures the district meets Utah's minimum instructional time requirements established in Utah State Board of Education Rule R277-419, 'Pupil
Accounting.'
Under this rule, school districts must provide at least 180 school days and a minimum of 990 instructional hours annually for secondary students, with equivalent instructional time
requirements established for elementary students. The report includes scheduled student contact days, instructional minutes, teacher work days, holidays, and other calendar details to
demonstrate compliance with state requirements while supporting high-quality teaching and learning opportunities for students.
3. Approve Adoption of Character Ed Curriculum
The Teaching and Learning and Student Services Teams are recommending board approval to adopt a K-8 character education curriculum to strengthen Tier I behavioral instruction,
