VERNAL CITY ORDINANCE NO 2026-10 ADOPTED
Notice is hereby given that the Vernal City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 2026-10, approving the Briar Creek Annexation into Vernal City and amending the Official Vernal City Boundary Map.
This ordinance annexes certain real property commonly referred to as the Briar Creek Annexation into the corporate boundaries of Vernal City in accordance with applicable provisions of Utah law. The ordinance further amends the Official Vernal City Boundary Map to reflect the annexation and establishes the zoning designation applicable to the annexed property. The Vernal City Council determined that the annexation promotes orderly growth and development and is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the community.
Ordinance 2026-10 was duly passed on May 6, 2026, and adopted by the Vernal City Council on May 20, 2026 upon the completion of conditions set forth by the Boundary Commission.
The ordinance takes effect immediately upon adoption and posting, as provided by law. A copy
of the ordinance is on file and available for public inspection at the Vernal City Recorder's Office
374 East Main Street, Vernal, Utah, during regular business hours, or on the City's website.
