SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 5-2026 HUNTINGTON CITY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN STATUTORY REFERENCES IN THE HUNTINGTON CITY CODE TO REFLECT CURRENT UTAH CODE CITATIONS AND AMENDING SECTION 9-2-2; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance updates outdated references to Utah State Code within the Huntington City Code to reflect current statutory numbering adopted by the Utah Legislature. The ordinance amends references related to subdivisions, zoning appeal authority, zoning powers of municipalities, and accessory dwelling unit definitions contained in Section 9-2-2 of the Huntington City Code. The ordinance further provides for severability and establishes that the ordinance shall take effect upon passage, approval, and posting as required by law. The full text of Ordinance No. 5-2026 is available for public inspection at Huntington City Hall and on the Utah Public Notice Website. PASSED AND APPROVED by the Huntington City Council on the 19th day of May, 2026.
