Description/Agenda
The Magna Water District will hold its Board of Trustees Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for two Trustee positions.
To be eligible to run for a seat on the Board, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:
(1) be a United States citizen; and
(2) be a registered voter at the location of the candidate's residence, which must be within the District's boundaries.
Candidates who work full-time or part-time for the District, whether as employees or under contract, must resign from their employment with the District if elected to the Board of Trustees pursuant to Utah Code § 17B-1-311.
Eligible candidates running for election to the Board must appear in person to file a Declaration of Candidacy form with the District during the District's normal office hours from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm on June 1 - June 4 and June 8, 2026. Such candidates must satisfy the above conditions when they file their Declaration of Candidacy form.
Candidates must also submit a completed Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement with the District when filing their Declaration of Candidacy form. This is a new requirement the Legislature enacted in 2025 under Utah Code §17B-1-306.1. As a result of this new law, the District CANNOT ACCEPT a Declaration of Candidacy form without a complete Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement. Copies of these forms are available on the District's website magnawaterut.gov.
