SCOFIELD TOWN SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
April 17, 2026
11:00 a.m.
CALL TO ORDER: 11:00 a.m. by Mayor Levanger. Meeting delayed by one hour due to snow.
ROLL CALL: Debbie Redford, Kim Erikkila, Ralph Brinkerhoff, Jim Levanger. 2 Council members are out of town.
NEW BUSINESS: Council discussion of additional engineering fees for the vault and spring watering station. Breakdown had some number mixed up. The mayor will request a new breakdown. Mayor needs authorization for additional emergency fees close to $40,000 left with the USDA engineering costs incurred. Kim Erikkila made a motion to amend the agreement with Horrocks Engineering. Ralph Brinkerhoff seconded it. All were in favor.
OLD BUSINESS: Council discussion and possible approval to contract with Lantis Production for fireworks for July 2027. After the first of July 2026 Lantis will know their costs for the year 2027. This has been tabled until July of 2026 meeting.
Moving the fireworks show to Friday July 3rd, 2026. $12,000 has been approved for fireworks this year 2026. There has been a 15 to 18 percent increase on fireworks from last year to this year. Kim Erikkila motioned to the move the fireworks to July 3rd. Ralph Brinkerhoff seconded it. All were in favor.
