Individual Public Health Services (IPHS) reviewed this grant application. Laurie Baksh presented the information. A motion was made and passed recommending approval of this grant application as proposed. (motion: Marc Watterson, 2nd Melissa Dimond, unanimous approval) The Title V MCH Services Block Grant Program is authorized under Title V of the Social Security Act to ensure the health and well-being of women, mothers, infants, children (including children with special health care needs), adolescents and their families. Originally authorized in 1935, Title V is the oldest public health program in our Nation.

The WIC team met with local health officers, on May 7th, to discuss and finalize the DHHS/LHD WIC funding formula for Federal Fiscal Year 2027 (Oct 1, 2026 - Sept 30, 2027). WIC provides nutrition and breastfeeding services, and supplemental foods to pregnant women, mothers, infants, and children up to their 5th birthday. We offer nutrition education, personalized breastfeeding support, and referrals to other public health programs that may help your family.

Brian Hatch made a motion (Brian Hatch) with a 2nd (Jeff Eason) and unanimous approval to recommend approval of this disease plan and accompanying form changes. This should be listed as a consensus item; it shouldn't require discussion unless anyone has questions or concerns.

Ryan White Part B Supplemental Grant 6/2/2026 Individual Public Health Services (IPHS) reviewed this grant application. Tyler Fisher presented the information. A motion was made and passed recommending approval of the grant as exempt for this and future cycles if the grant only covers direct services for clients; the program will only need to return to IPHS Exec if the program is recommending that funding will be used for contracts. (motion: Noel Taxin, 2nd Dorothy Adams, unanimous approval)
