The purpose of the work session includes presentations and discussions regarding:
- Agenda Review for the City Council meeting;
- Proposed Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Budget:
o Fire/Medical Department:
Fire/Medical Capital Improvement Projects;
o Police Department;
o Public Services Department:
Utilities;
Public Services Capital Improvement Projects;
- Council Business; and
- Council Comments.
Any items not fully addressed prior to the 6:00 p.m. City Council meeting
may be addressed immediately following that meeting.
6:00 p.m. City Council Meeting
City Council Chambers
1. Roll Call.
2. Opening Ceremony:
a. Pledge of Allegiance.
b. Moment of Silence.
c. Acknowledgements.
3. Request to be on the Agenda:
a. Visit Ogden. Representatives from Visit Ogden will provide an update on the World Men's Curling Championship that took place at the Ice Sheet in Ogden.
4. Approval of Minutes:
a. Joint work session of April 14, 2026 - Council member Lopez
b. Joint work session of April 21, 2026 - Council member Lundell
c. Regular meeting of April 21, 2026 - Council member Myers
5. New Business:
a. Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Tentative Budget. Proposed Ordinance 2026-8 adopting the proposed Tentative Budget of Ogden City for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. (Set/not set public hearing for June 2, 2026 - voice vote)
6. Public Comments. This is an opportunity to address the Council regarding concerns or ideas on any issue or topic. To ensure that the meeting is managed in an orderly and efficient manner, public comments will be limited to three minutes or less per person, as determined by the Council Chair. Participants are to state their names for the record. Comments which cannot be made within the established time limit may be submitted to the City Council Office by email at citycouncil@ogdencity.gov, online at www.ogdencity.com/publicinput, or by voice message at 801-629-8158.

8. Closed Session. Consideration of adjourning into a Closed Session pursuant to one or more of the provisions of Section 52-4-205(1) of the Open and Public Meetings Law:
a. Discussion of the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual
b. Strategy session to discuss collective bargaining
c. Strategy session to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation
d. Strategy session to discuss the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property
e. Strategy session to discuss the sale of real property
f. Discussion regarding deployment of security personnel, devices, or systems
g. Investigative proceedings regarding allegations of criminal misconduct.

Notice of Electronic or Telephone Participation
