Portage Town Council Meeting Wednesday, April 15, 2026 Portage Town Hall 25880 N 9000 W Portage, Utah 84331 Town Minutes Attendance: Mayor Max Huggins, Councilmember Mariah Huggins, Councilmember Nelson, Councilmember Van Tassell, Clerk Gina Marble, Visitors: Susan Bell, Martina John, Norma Lesa Mayor Huggins called the meeting to order. Opening Ceremony Pledge: Councilmember Prayer: Councilmember No public comments. 1. Review and approve minutes of the March 11 & 17, 2026 Council meeting. I'll make a motion to approve the minutes from March 11 & 17, 2026 by Councilmember Huggins. Seconded by Councilmember Nelson. Motion approves. 2. Review and approval of March 11, 2026-April 8, 2026 Bills and Payroll-no reports was presented. 3. Review financial reports, bank reconciliations, and Water adjustments or write-offs.-no reports presented. 4. Councilmember Jobs-Mayor Huggins stated that Councilmember Nelson will be over roads and Councilmember Van Tassell will be over water. Water Update-Councilmember Van Tassell had nothing to report. Road Update-Councilmember Nelson had nothing to report. Planning Commission report-Mayor Huggins had nothing to report. Park Update-Councilmember Huggins stated that the park mower was broke; it's getting old and wore out. We need a new one I would like to budget $6500.00 for a new lawn mower. I'll make a motion to approve $6500.00 for a new park mower by Councilmember Huggins. Seconded by Councilmember Bell. All aye. Motion approves. Sheriff Department- not present. Fire Department- Nothing to report. I'll make a motion to adjourn by Councilmember Huggins. Seconded by Councilmember Nelson. All aye. Motion approves.
