Notice is hereby given that Garland City will be accepting applications for individuals to be considered to fill a City Council interim vacancy. The appointment will begin June 3, 2026, and will go through December 2027. Qualifications for consideration are that the applicant must be a United States Citizen, be a registered voter of the municipality, and be a resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the appointment. Applications must be filed in person at the office of the City Recorder during regular office hours (M-F, 9 AM - 5:00 PM). Deadline to file is Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Applicants will then be interviewed and considered by the City Council and Mayor during the work session meeting to be held on June 3, 2026 at 6 PM. It is anticipated that the Council will then select an applicant to fill the vacancy during the same meeting at the Garland City Building, 72 North Main Street, Garland Utah.
