Taracon contracted to help push Heber City Plaza. Presented 3 different options. Effects the whole valley. Will the stage be used more than last year? A lot depends on Cams. Erik: Is our office supporting Cams? How can we partner better or are we okay? Lots of potential opportunities. CAMS, imagine the Wagon Wheel, how is is best to roll it out? How to use existing, how to re establish. HVTED all play a large role. Bringing people to the table, meaning not doing all the work but getting help from other resources. Mark: Awesome growth in our county. What is in the name of the organization 'Heber Valley'. Is Black Rock and Jordanelle 'Heber Valley'? Do they consider themselves apart of the valley. They are in our County not Summit County. Promote our counties tourism not Summit County. Internally we have 3 search engines Deer Valley East, Midway, Heber Valley, etc. why do people come to Heber Valley. What do we have to offer? That is with the Destination Development Strategy. This was a discussion that Board members could just speak about what they feel, see, and hear. i. TRT Training What TRT can be used for: Transportation, resource, time and money. TRT can start being used for parking. Positively influenced and will further be discussed in the March meeting. ii. Board Priorities b. Whereabout - Destination Development - Strategy and Implementation by HVTED Board B. Whereabout-Destination Development-Strategy and Implementation by HVTED Board Helping revamp plan that was started in 2020. Needs to be rethought. Help with strategy and accountability. East Village/Jordanelle......is that the brand? If our brand no longer meets the needs, then what is Chamber Advisory Board Retreat: Building a destination based on destination culture and heritage. What is it? Define as a group. Treating Deer Valley East destination with a Destination. Brand to stand alone, figure out a way we ALL BENEFIT. Both Areas. Nate is interested in adding a tax back in. True collaboration Tiger Woods golf course, not Park City, it is Heber Valley. How to get everyone to plan annexation. As the budget grows, people will start coming more. Deer valley east is scaring deer valley. Deer Valley East will benefit Heber Valley. Mark from the office front of our mind, if there is a way to take the brand from Park City, then we need to own the brand. What is another term. Needs to be top of the list. Own it if we can. Culture and heritage is a big challenge to mark, trying to include the Jordanelle Basin. alfafa fields. How to put them together and make it work.
