PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
TOWN OF MANTUA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mantua Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Mantua Town Hall (409 North Main Street, Mantua, UT).
PURPOSE OF THE HEARING: The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment regarding the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and the Request for Release of Funds (RROF) for the Main Street Improvement Project. This project involves infrastructure improvements and the town intends to request the release of Community Project Funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments on the Environmental Review Record (ERR) to the Town Recorder's Office.
- Comment Deadline: All written comments received by May 19, 2026, will be considered by the Town of Mantua prior to authorizing the submission of a Request for Release of Funds.
- Public Testimony: Interested persons may also appear at the hearing on May 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM to provide oral testimony.
DOCUMENT AVAILABILITY: The Environmental Review Record (ERR), which contains the Environmental Assessment and the documentation supporting the FONSI, is available for public review at the Mantua Town Hall during regular business hours or can be provided via email upon request to sschaefer@mantuautah.gov.
OBJECTIONS TO RELEASE OF FUNDS: HUD will accept objections to its release of funds and the Town of Mantua's certification for a period of fifteen days following the anticipated submission date or its actual receipt of the request (whichever is later) only if they are on one of the bases set forth in 24 CFR Part 58.75.

Public meetings may be held electronically in accordance with Utah Code Annotated 52-4-207 to allow Council members to participate via teleconference. The anchor location for the meeting shall be held at the Mantua Town Hall 409 North Main St, Mantua Utah 84324
