Notice is given that the Stockton Town Council will hold a regular meeting as identified below in the Town Council Chambers at the Stockton Town Hall 18 N. Johnson Street, Stockton, Utah. In compliance with the American Disabilities Act, any individual who may need special accommodations including auxiliary communicative and services during this meeting shall notify the Town Clerk at (435) 882-3877 at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. The order of Agenda Items may be changed if deemed appropriate by the Mayor or Town Council. Time limits, if any listed for Agenda items are approximate and may be accelerated or delayed.

6. Department Reports -
a. Stockton Security and Welfare - Mayor Joe Johnston Tooele County Sherriff 17 arrests 23 citations
b. Stockton Fire Department - Chief Justin Huffman, including purchase of weights/dumbbells - 12 calls. Oregon trip went good, acquired 16000 ft of hose. Approval from the council to purchase weights for the station. Working on grants. Fire mitigation discussion. Mowing projects $7500 to mow ground and purchase mowers. Received $4000 Grant. Continued training going on.
c. Parks, Roads, and Solid Waste -Mayor Joe Johnston- Possibly having residents clean all garbage cans. Walk and Don't Walk St Grant awarded, It will get chip sealed this year.
d. Sewer and Water - Mayor Joe Johnston- Significant clog of 'flushable wipes'. It has been unclogged.
e. Water Well Projects - Nando Meli- Stayed on the help with water projects. New Well is still getting worked on.
Planning and Zoning- End of Old County Road. Stay on top of things as far as property lines and water lines. Suggesting sending home owner a letter. Rod and Joe have been looking at the property. Will speak to Josh next week.
7. Enbridge Discussion- Gas line across the valley to South Rim. Caroline from Enbridge. HB 129 2020- Gas to communities payed for by the State. High pressure gas line. 2.6 Miles. Across 36 at 90 degree angle, through Goddards property then through Stockon property then through the lake, then enter into South Rim. Adam project manager- open trench. Will fence all trenching. 3-4 months Reclaim it how it was. Will cross petroleum line. Start in May.Enbridge Super fund site. The levels were not unsafe. Take 18 inches and replace with new dirt. Trenches 3ft wide 4ft deep. 35 ft below railroad. Easement 30ft wide north property line. Will pay the Town $ pipe line easily identified.
8. Public Comments - This time is reserved for the residents of the Town of Stockton, and those who wish to comment on concerns of the town. Up to 5 minutes are provided to voice your concerns or make comments. Everyone will be given a Complaint/Suggestion form to submit their concern officially. The form will be documented and entered in a ledger with the date and time it was received. The town will not be able to act upon hearsay or verbal accusations if proper documentation was not entered into the official ledger for action. The Complaint/Suggestion ledger will be a public document which can be viewed by Town of Stockton Residents or those who have made complaints or suggestions during regular business hours of the Stockton Town Hall.

Tooele Tech college, James May- Introducing Tooele tech, Police academy in our valley. Graduated 24 cadets last year. Invited the council to do a full tour, Welding, IT, Automated, CDL, Auto tech, Diesel Tech. business, cosmetology. Expanding soon. Tooele Tech days are in September.
9. Ordinance 2026-01 Business Sales Tax Increase-Table until next month, research it. 1% to 7.07%. In a year from now, we can see if it is working. Town vehicles need work. Motion to table it, Emily 2nd Shyla All Approved. Joe will prepare numbers next month.

14. Council Reports- Street light out, Mayor will visit with Rocky Mountain Power to possibly add lights and replace lights. Possible solar, Heavily in maintenance.
Emily- Concerned with Enbridge, 3rd party testing?? Some risks, lake, compaction?? Check with Sunrise and Dallin. The railroad is ok with it, then it should be ok? Inspectors should check everything.
15. 25$ Mayors Money- 25$ out of Joes pocket. Heather Phillips winner.
