- SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON Tuesday, May 5, 2026, a public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. by the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comment and consider adopting a resolution that would honorarily rename a portion of 500 South as 'Dolores Huerta Boulevard.' The honorary street name would recognize Dolores Huerta, who is an American labor leader and feminist activist. She co-founded the National Farm Workers Association and is best known for organizing farm workers, leading nationwide grape boycotts, coining the slogan 'Sí, se puede' (Yes, we can), and fighting for better wages and working conditions. All persons interested and present will be given an opportunity to be heard on this matter. This meeting will be held via electronic means, while also providing an in-person opportunity to attend or participate in the hearing at the City Hall, located at 451 South State Street, Room 315, Salt Lake City, Utah.
