Notice and Agenda
The Plain City Planning Commission/City Council work meeting
will convene in a regular meeting Thursday, April 23, 2026 in Council Chambers at Plain City Hall - 4160 West 2200 North, which meeting shall begin at 6:45pm.
This meeting will also be accessible via ZOOM.
The agenda shall be as follows:

Approval of Planning Commission Minutes for April 9, 2026
Legislative Items:
Motion: set a public hearing on May 14, 2026 for rezone of property at approx. 4600 W 2350 N from A-1 to RE-18.5 William and James Fox, Johnson Family Trust (Taylor Leavitt)
1. Project status recap - what has been completed since the kickoff (March 12).
a. Gap analysis and General Plan table of contents.
b. Where we are on the schedule.
2. Dress rehearsal - Public Workshop #1.
a. Walk through the draft workshop agenda and format.
b. Review draft existing conditions / snapshot boards.
c. Review draft maps (land use, zoning, context, growth areas, flood hazard).
d. Rehearse the community priorities activity (as participants).
e. Review key policy questions boards - density, ADUs, water, parks, commercial.
f. Review pass-along card and website.
3. Feedback and refinements - what needs adjustment before the public event?
4. Logistics for Public Workshop #1 - date, venue, outreach plan.
'If we have time' items to discuss:
5. Consultant questions from ongoing document review.
6. Early look at Land Use Code drafting priorities - based on the gap analysis.
7. 2026 legislation incorporation
8. Quick review the updated workplan doc (at this link).
