NOTICE OF HIGHLAND PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING
The Highland Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 7:00 PM or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Highland City Council Chambers, 5400 West Civic Center Dr., Highland, UT, to consider and receive comments regarding the following:
- Midtown National Group has applied to amend the development agreement for the Highland Mains project to modify Exhibit C of the agreement, which exhibit outlines the signage allowed within the project.
- Highland City is considering amending the Development Code to allow detached accessory dwelling units within accessory structures on residential lots of at least 11,000 square feet.
- Highland City is considering amending the Development Code related to setbacks for covered patios and decks (covered or uncovered) attached to a home in order to calculate such setbacks using accessory structure setbacks instead of primary structure setbacks.
Any person may provide comments during the public hearing and can provide written comments or objections by mail to 5400 West Civic Center Dr., Ste 1, Highland, UT 84003, or by email to planning@highlandut.gov.
The meeting agenda, together with staff reports, proposed land use regulations and amendments if applicable, and other information regarding these items will be published on the City's website (https://highlandut.gov/1111/Agenda-and-Minutes-Portal) Thursday evening prior to the meeting.
