The Ivins City Council will hold a regular meeting in the City Council Chambers, 85 N. Main St., Ivins, UT, on Thursday, April 16, 2026. The meeting will begin at 5:30 P.M.

There will be a short break at 6pm so that the members of the City Council and others can participate in the Great Shakeout exercise, where we simulate a response to a large earthquake that has destroyed normal communication methods. At 6pm, the members of the City Council and others will go to the Hub Box that is on the corner of 100N and 100W (just across Heritage Park from City Hall). Members of the public attending the meeting are all invited to join us in this exercise. The meeting will resume when the group returns, approximately ten minutes after the Great Shakeout exercise.
3) CITIZEN COMMENT & REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Any person wishing to bring an item not otherwise on the Agenda to the attention of the Mayor and City Council may address the City Council at this point by stepping to the microphone and giving his or her name and address for the record. Speaker forms should be filled out in advance and given to the City Recorder. Remarks should be limited to no more than two minutes, unless the Governing Body allocates additional time. The Mayor and City Council will take no action this evening.

A. Public Hearing on the Planning Commission's recommendation to approve a Zoning Text Amendment to Section 15.05.204 of the Ivins City Code regarding Flag Lots
B. Discuss and consider approval of Ordinance No. 2026-10, an Ordinance of Ivins City, Utah, Amending Section 15.05.204 of the Ivins City Code clarifying the Use of and Development Standards for Flag Lots
5) DISCUSSION AND POTENTIAL ACTION ITEMS
A. Discussion regarding America 250 events and funding
B. Discuss and consider proposal to provide municipal funds towards Switchpoint to address homelessness in Washington County
C. Discuss potential policy change regarding paid parental leave
D. Continued discussion to consider approval of the Restated Interlocal Agreement Governing Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS Services
E. Budget presentation, 5-Year Budget Plan presentation and discussion
F. *Discuss and consider approval of an expenditure for civil and structural engineering design for the fire station remodel and expansion
G. Continued discussion of fire station remodel and expansion
H. Discuss and consider approval of Ordinance No. 2026-13, an Ordinance of Ivins City, Utah, approving a Concurrent Map Amendment from MDR ( Medium-Density Residential) to HDR (High-Density Residential) Land Use, and R-1-10 (Residential Single Family minimum lot size 10,000 sq ft) Zone to R-2-10 (Residential Two-Family District, minimum lot size 10,000 sq ft) on approximately .23 acres
