During periodic carbon exchanges, GAC vessels are backwashed, and the resulting water is discharged to a stormwater basin for settling before entering the Woods Cross Storm Sewer system. This carbon exchange will happen on an approximately 5-year schedule. See draft Permit documents for more information. The Level II Antidegradation Review is also included in this Public Notice.
