Town of Daniel is giving notice that it will hold 3 public hearings at the Daniel Planning Commission meeting on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 7PM.
1) The owner of property located at approximately 3350 S Highway 40 (parcel #20-4491) has requested a rezone of this one acre property from RA-5 to Commercial. The permitted uses of Commercial property may be found on our website in the Daniel Municipal Code 8.10. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation regarding this request to the Daniel Town Council for final action.
2) The Utah Legislature of 2025 passed HB48 which requires that all municipalities in Utah adopt the Wildland Urban Interface Code of 2006. In addition to the Code, Daniel is required to adopt a map delineating the Wildland Urban Interface boundary for the Town of Daniel. All properties south of the boundary line will be subject to enhanced building codes designed to enable any new structures or development approved to withstand wildfires. The public is invited to provide input on the boundary line that should be adopted by the Town Council. The code may be viewed by contacting the clerk's office at clerk@danielutah.gov.
3) The Planning Commission is considering recommending minor changes to the Daniel Municipal Code 8.07 RA-5 Residential Agricultural Zone. The code may be viewed by contacting the clerk's office at clerk@danielutah.gov.
All persons are welcome to attend and comment on these issues. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to comment for the record, please email your written comments to clerk@danielutah.gov prior to the hearings.
