Rezone of the Heber City Hospital Well Site
The purpose of this notice is to inform you about a proposed zone change on Heber City's Hospital Well property, located in the vicinity of 600 East Center. Heber City invites you to participate and comment at the upcoming public hearing scheduled below. The proposed zone change would rezone the approximately 1.5-acre site from the current R-1 Residential Zone and R-3 Residential Zone to the Institutional and Public Facilities (IPFZ) Zone, see maps below. Information about the existing and proposed zones can be found online here:

The Heber City Planning Commission will hold the public hearing on May 12, 2026, at 6 pm, at the Heber City Municipal Building at 75 North Main Street in Heber City, Utah, to receive public comments on the proposed rezone. After the Planning Commission holds the Public Hearing, the Planning Commission may provide a recommendation either for or against the proposed rezone. The City Council will make the final decision on the proposed zone change at a future meeting date to be determined.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, those persons needing special accommodations, including special audio hearing assistance receivers, or who are non-English speaking, and who would like to participate, should contact Meshelle Kijanen or the Heber City Planning and Zoning Department at 435-657-7898 at least eight (8) hours prior to the meeting.

I. The Public Hearing comments can be emailed to PCPublic@heberut.gov or mkijanen@heberut.gov
II. Emailed comments may be read aloud during the open comment portion of the Public Hearing but will be included as part of the permanent public records for the meeting.
III. Emailed and written comments may be read up to three minutes, please be succinct.
IV. The comment option for the online platform will be turned off during the meeting, including the Public Hearing portion of the meeting.
V. You may comment at the meeting by either:
a. Sending an email to PCPublic@heberut.gov or mkijanen@heerut.gov
b. Turn on your camera and raise your hand, when the Chairman calls on you:
i. Limit your comments to three minute
ii. Do your best not to repeat what has already been stated as you time is limited.
iii. When you have stated your comment, turn your camera back to the off position or
c. Attend the meeting in person at the Heber City Municipal building located at 75 N. Main upstairs in the Heber city Chambers.
