NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Grand County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at a
Regular Meeting on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. or later. The hearing will be held in person at
the County Commission Chambers, 125 E. Center St., Moab, UT 84532, and virtually via Zoom. All
interested parties are encouraged to plan to attend in person or via electronic means. Instructions for
participating via Zoom will be included in the meeting agenda, which will be posted on the County's
website at least 24 hours before the meeting.
The purpose of this hearing is to solicit public input on a proposed Ordinance Amending the Grand
County General Plan to add a Water Use and Preservation Element.
SUMMARY OF THE ORDINANCE
Plain English Summary:
Utah state code requires that each county adopt a water use and preservation chapter of its general
plan. The chapter examines past and future water demand and aims to reduce current and future per
capita usage to preserve water for the future. This ordinance will fulfill that requirement.
A complete draft of the proposed ordinance is available for review during regular business hours at the
Grand County Clerk's office, located at 125 East Center Street, Moab, Utah, at least 24 hours before the
public hearing.
Notice was posted within the Grand County limits on March 13, 2026, at the Grand County Courthouse,
on the Utah Public Notice Website - www.utah.gov/pmn, and the County's website -
www.grandcountyutah.gov.

of the Grand County Commission may participate in meetings through electronic means. Any form of
