Notice of Vacancy for Special Service District Board of Trustees I, Marla R. Young, Box Elder County Clerk, give notice that it has become necessary for the governing board of Box Elder County to make appointments and reappointments to the various special service districts within the County. According to Utah Code 17B-1-302 The board member qualifications are that a board of trustee shall be a registered voter at the location of the members residence and be a resident within the boundaries of the district. If interested in being considered for appointment or reappointment for these positions, please submit a written letter of qualification to Marla Young, Box Elder County Clerk 1 South Main Street Brigham City, Utah 84302 or email: myoung@boxeldercountyut.gov before April 30, 2026. The County Commission will review the names presented and appoint the board members by resolution. The following districts have positions available: Box Elder Service District No. 1 (Howell) three (3) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Box Elder Service District No. 2 (Park Valley) two (2) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Box Elder County and Willard City Flood Control and Drainage District three (3) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Grouse Creek Special Service District two (2) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Grouse Creek Solid Waste Special Service District one (1) board member for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Hansel Valley Watershed Special Service District two (2) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Riverside Community Special Service District two (2) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. South Willard Bay Special Service District three (3) board members for a term of four years to expire on December 31, 2029 and two (2) board members for a term of two years to expire on December 31, 2027. Corinne Cemetery Special Service District two ( 2) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. East Garland Cemetery District one (1) board member for a term of two years expiring December 31, 2027 and two (2) board members for the term of four years expiring December 31 2029. Fielding Cemetery Special Service District (2) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Garland Cemetery Special Service District (2) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Penrose Cemetery Special Service District (2) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Portage Cemetery Special Service District one (1) for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Plymouth Cemetery Special Service District one (1) for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Riverside Cemetery Special Service District one (1) for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Willard Cemetery Special Service District (2) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Belmont Drainage Special Service District (2) board members for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Corinne Drainage Special Service District one (1) board member for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Elwood Drainage Special Service District one (1) board member for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Iowa String Drainage Special Service District one (1) board member for a term of four (4) years to expire on December 31, 2029. Tremonton/Garland Drainage District one (1) board member for a term of four years to expire on December 31, 2029.
