Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given of a public hearing before the La Verkin City Planning Commission on April 8, 2026, at 6 p.m. at 111 S. Main Street in La Verkin, Utah, for the purpose of receiving public comment regarding the approval of:
1. Ordinance creating a MDR-8 (Medium density residential) Zone.
Summary of Ordinance Enacting MDR-8 Zone
The ordinance enacting the Single Family Residential (R-1-6 Zone) is intended to allow the development of small lot single-family homes and attached homes at a density of up to eight (8) dwelling units per acres, as specified in the list of permitted uses listed in the ordinance.
2. Ordinance creating a HDR-14 (High density residential) Zone.
Summary of Ordinance Enacting HDR-14 Zone
The ordinance enacting the Single Family Residential (R-1-6 Zone) is intended to allow the development of attached housing, condominiums and townhomes at a density of up to four (4) stories and fourteen (14) dwelling units per acre, as specified in the list of permitted uses listed in the ordinance.
3. Ordinance creating a R-1-6 (Family residential) Zone.
Summary of Ordinance Enacting R-1-6 Zone
The ordinance enacting the Single Family Residential (R-1-6 Zone) is intended to allow the development of detached single-family residences at a density of up to six (6) dwelling units per acre, along with other permitted uses listed in the ordinance.
