PUBLIC NOTICE MONROE CITY COUNCIL VACANCY PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given of a Midterm City Council Vacancy. Any persons interested in serving as a City Councilmember and who meets the eligibility and residency requirements is hereby invited to submit an application of interest and conflict of interest disclosure form to City Recorder Allison Leavitt at Monroe City Offices 10 N Main, Monroe, UT No later than April 10, 2026, 5:00 p.m. The vacancy will be filled during the Monroe City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Monroe City Offices at 10 N Main, Monroe UT Individuals will be interviewed and appointed by the City Council during this meeting in accordance with state law (UCA 20A-1-510). QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CANDIDATE ARE: (UCA 10-3-301; 20A-9-203) 1. Be a United States Citizen 2. Be a registered voter of Monroe City 3. Be a resident of Monroe City for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the appointment 4. Not be disqualified by statute (e.g., felony conviction or other legal incapacity under election law) 5. Provide a completed conflict of interest disclosure at least three days before being interviewed INTERVIEW AND SELECTION PROCESS To be considered for appointment, all applicants must participate in a public interview during the City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. POSTING AND NOTICE This notice will be posted on the Utah Public Notice Website, the Monroe City website, and at Monroe City Office in accordance with § 20A-1-510.
