NOTICE OF HIGHLAND PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING
The Highland Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 7:00 PM or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Highland City Council Chambers, 5400 West Civic Center Dr., Highland, UT, to consider and receive comments regarding the following:
- Ty Ricks has applied to amend section 3-4103 of the Development Code to calculate allowable density in the R-1-40 zone by rounding a fractional lot up to the nearest whole number, rather than rounding down.
- Highland City is considering amending several sections of the Development Code related to home occupations, including daycare and in-home instruction home occupations, to clarify standards in all residential zones and districts and potentially allow daycare and in-home instruction in residential areas of planned developments, including Ridgeview, Skye Estates, and Wild Rose PDs.
Any person may provide comments during the public hearing and can provide written comments or objections by mail to 5400 West Civic Center Dr., Ste 1, Highland, UT 84003, or by email to planning@highlandut.gov.
The meeting agenda, together with staff reports, proposed land use regulations and amendments if applicable, and other information regarding these items will be published on the City's website (https://highlandut.gov/1111/Agenda-and-Minutes-Portal) Thursday evening prior to the meeting.
