Notice is hereby given that during a regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Emery County Commissioners held on March 17, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., following a vote as follows; Jensen-Aye, Leonard-Aye, Worwood-Nay, and approved with a two-one majority vote, it was approved to amend Emery County Ordinance 07-18-23a, an Ordinance Establishing Regulations for Acquisition, Management and Disposal of County Property and Repealing Ordinance No. 08-02-16 and all amendments thereto
The amendment is as follows:
Section 1, Subsection 2 after the roman numerals stating what the notice of sale must contain it is amended to add:
e. When the County Commissioners take an action to sell a parcel in a public meeting, and the parcel is not posted within 30 days of the action, the Commission may sell the property in accordance with UCA ยง17-78-103.
In accordance with UCA 17-64-502 (6) Emery County Commission deems it necessary for this amendment to the Ordinance to take effect immediately in order to preserve the peace, health or safety of the county and the county's inhabitants. The amendment to the ordinance shall be posted in the March 25 issue of ETV News. A copy of the full, amended ordinance, shall be available for public inspection in the Emery County Clerk/Auditor's Office
