PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Mayfield Town, Utah
Notice is hereby given that the Mayfield Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 @ 7:00 PM Mayfield Town Hall, 52 North Main Street, Mayfield, Utah
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment regarding the proposed adoption of the following ordinances and/or resolutions:
1. Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit (DADU) Ordinance
The proposed ordinance establishes regulations for the placement, construction, and use of Detached Accessory Dwelling Units within Mayfield Town limits. The purpose of this ordinance is to provide additional housing options while maintaining the character and integrity of residential neighborhoods.
2. Amendments to Title 18 (Zoning Ordinance)
Proposed amendments to Chapter 18 will update and align zoning regulations to accommodate Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and Detached Accessory Dwelling Units (DADUs). These changes may include updates to definitions, permitted uses, lot standards, and other related zoning provisions.
3. Amendments to the Animal Ordinance (Dogs)
The proposed amendments revise existing regulations pertaining to dogs within town limits, including but not limited to licensing, control, nuisance behavior, and enforcement provisions. These updates are intended to promote responsible pet ownership and protect the health, safety, and welfare of residents.
4. Resolution Adopting Fees for Dog Citations
The proposed resolution establishes a fee schedule for dog-related citations and violations in accordance with the Town's animal control regulations.
5. Ordinance Repealing Ordinance No. 2026-2 (Annexation)
The proposed ordinance repeals Ordinance No. 2026-2, which approved the annexation of certain real property into Mayfield Town. The annexation has not been finalized, and the repeal will withdraw the proposed annexation.
All interested persons are invited to attend and provide comment. Written comments may also be submitted to the Mayfield Town Office prior to the hearing.
