LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD VACANCY
The City of Saratoga Springs is seeking interested and qualified citizen volunteers to serve on the Library Advisory Board to fill one position with a three-year term ending June 30, 2029. Resumes and/or Letters of Interest will be accepted until the positions are filled.
The Library Board meets monthly at 6:30 PM on the 2nd Tuesday of the month in the City Hall Conference Room. Board members will receive monthly updates regarding library services, including the budget, programming and events of the library. The Library Board shall also consider and give its recommendations on any Library Policies, which will be reviewed according to the schedule adopted in the Long-Range Plan. The Library Board shall facilitate community feedback regarding library events, programs, and services and use this feedback to assist with the scheduled revisions of the Library's Long Range and Technology Plans. The Library Board members shall assist with the planning, preparation and staffing of large library functions, including, but not limited to Science Nights.
Library Board members are appointed by City Council by Resolution. Once the resolution is approved the member will be required to swear an oath of office agreeing to support and uphold the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the State of Utah.
