Notice is hereby given that the Kanab Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in the Kanab City Council Chambers, located in the Kanab City Complex, 26 North 100 East, Kanab, Utah, to discuss and make recommendations regarding proposed amendments to the Kanab City Land Use Ordinance and General Ordinances, including the following:
Land Use Ordinance, Chapter 1 - General Provisions
Proposed amendments to update definitions related to the text amendments as discussed below in this notice.
Land Use Ordinance, Chapter 20 - Commercial Zones
Proposed amendments to consider permitting a tavern use in the Land Use Chart (Section 20-10) and to establish additional regulations governing tavern uses.
Land Use Ordinance, Chapter 4 - Supplementary Regulations
Proposed amendments to add language intended to preserve the highway corridor for potential future expansion along State Road Highway 89A.
Land Use Ordinance, Chapter 7 - Signs
Proposed amendments to review and clarify permitted and non-permitted sign uses outlined throughout the chapter.
At the time and place set forth above, all interested persons may appear and will be given an opportunity to be heard.
