NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ORDINANCE 2026-03
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE UNAUTHORIZED FEEDING OF PROTECTED WILDLIFE
Notice is hereby given that the Monticello City Council will hold a public hearing in conjunction with the regular session on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Hideout Community Center, 648 S Main St, Monticello, Utah, beginning at 7:00 pm. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available at the Monticello City Office and on the Utah Public Notice Website. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive comment from the public regarding the City's proposal to create the following ordinance:
PROHIBITING THE UNAUTHORIZED FEEDING OF PROTECTED WILDLIFE
Written comments may be addressed to Recorder Melissa Gill, melissa@monticelloutah.gov, City of Monticello, P.O. Box 457, Monticello, Utah 84535, and must be received prior to or on the hearing date. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, anyone requiring special accommodations to attend this hearing may call the Monticello City Office at least three days prior to the meeting, at 435-587-2271.

THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND ALL CITY MEETINGS
Monticello City Council holds meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, unless otherwise posted, at the Hideout Community Center, 648 S Main, beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, anyone needing special accommodations to attend a meeting may contact the City Office, 587-2271, at least three working days prior to the meeting. City Council may adjourn to closed session by majority vote, pursuant to Utah Code Section 52-4-4 & 5.
