Description/Agenda
For the proposed project relating to Stormwater Management Improvements in East Central Ogden (Project) in Ogden, Utah.
The Utah Division of Water Quality (Division) has conducted a review of the proposed Project in accordance with State and Federal procedures for implementing the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), (40 CFR Part 6). The Division has determined that this Project is eligible for a categorical exclusion. Accordingly, the Project is exempted from further substantive environmental review requirements under NEPA.
The following is a brief description of the proposed action and a brief statement of how the proposed project meets the criteria for a categorical exclusion.
Ogden City proposes to construct bioswales/bioretention rain gardens within the East Central Community to improve stormwater quality, reduce pollutant loading, and enhance infiltration.
This project meets the criteria for granting a categorical exclusion because the proposed project is for minor upgrades along with new minor ancillary facilities adjacent to existing facilities; and does not contain any of the excluding factors under 40 CFR 6.204(a)(1)(ii).
The documentation to support this decision will be on file at the Division and is available for public scrutiny upon request. Comments concerning this decision may be addressed to Candice
A.Hasenyager, Director Division of Water Quality: Attention George Meados.
