A Petition for annexation has been filed in the office of the Richfield City Recorder for the purpose of requesting annexation of a parcel of land belonging to Corey Winkle located along 500 East at approximately 650 North, identified as parcel number 4-236-26, and more specifically described as follows: BEGINNING AT A POINT LOCATED NORTH 2321.08 FEET AND WEST 1030.89 FEET FROM THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 23 SOUTH, RANGE 3 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN; SAID POINT BEING LOCATED ON THE NORTH LINE OF PHASE I OF THE COVE VIEW ACRES SUBDIVISION AND THE EXISTING RICHFIELD CITY BOUNDARY; THENCE NORTH 00°25'28' WEST 332.57 FEET TO A POINT ON THE SOUTH BOUNDARY OF TAX PARCEL 4-236-26; THENCE SOUTH 89°55'20' WEST 289.29 FEET TO THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF 500 EAST STREET; THENCE NORTH 00°16'16' WEST ALONG SAID EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY, 60.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 89°55'20' EAST 349.13 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 00°25'28' EAST 60.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 89°55'20' EAST ALONG SAID SOUTH BOUNDARY OF TAX PARCEL 4-236-26, 510.81 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 00°25'28' EAST 133.78 FEET; THENCE NORTH 89°33'57' EAST 10.00 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 00°00'16' EAST 60.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 89°33'57' EAST 141.45 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 00°00'26' WEST 138.75 FEET, TO A POINT ON THE EXISTING RICHFIELD CITY BOUNDARY; THENCE SOUTH 89°50'42' WEST ALONG SAID EXISTING RICHFIELD CITY BOUNDARY, 720.78 FEET, MORE OR LESS TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINING 5.33 ACRES, MORE OR LESS. Notice of certification was received by the Richfield City Council on February 24, 2026. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Richfield City Recorder. Richfield City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless a written protest to the annexation is filed with the Boundary Commission at 250 North Main, Richfield, Utah 84701, and a copy of the protest delivered to the Richfield City Recorder by April 4, 2026. A protest to the annexation petition may be filed by the legislative body or the governing board of an affected entity (or for a proposed annexation of an area within a county of the first class if it contains the signatures of the owners of real property that: (1) is located in the unincorporated area within 2 a mile of the area proposed for annexation; (2) covers at least 25% of the private land area located in the unincorporated area with 2 a mile of the area proposed for annexation; and (3) is equal in value to at least 15% of all real property located in the unincorporated area within 2 a mile of the area proposed for annexation).
