PUBLIC NOTICE VERNAL CITY ORDINANCE NO 2026-03 ADOPTED Notice is hereby given that Ordinance No. 2026-03, an ordinance of the Vernal City Council repealing Vernal City Municipal Code § 16.20.308 'Dwelling, Internal Additional (IADU)' and adopting Vernal City Municipal Code §16.20.100 'Additional Dwelling Units (AADUS, DADUS, IADUS)', was passed and adopted February 18, 2026 in a regular City Council Meeting. This ordinance consolidates and updates regulations governing Internal, Attached, and Detached Additional Dwelling Units within Vernal City. The new provisions establish uniform standards related to applicability, lot size, development requirements, utilities, parking, owner-occupancy, and administrative procedures. The ordinance is intended to expand attainable and flexible housing options while complying with Utah Code § 10-9a-530. The ordinance takes effect immediately upon adoption and posting, as provided by law. A copy of the ordinance is on file and available for public inspection at the Vernal City Recorder's Office during regular business hours. Published on the Public Notice Website February 20, 2026
